Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Imperial family, is considered one of the finest Baroque palaces in Europe. The Habsburgs resided here most of the year in numerous rooms for the great imperial family, in addition to representative halls. Emperor Franz Joseph, who later married the charming Sissi and reigned from 1848 to 1916, was born here in 1830. The monarch spent his final years entirely in the palace, which became the property of the new Republic of Austria only two years after his death. Today, the palace is a UNESCO cultural heritage due to its historical significance, unique designs and splendid furnishings.
There are four categories of tickets to choose from: VIP, A, B and C, referring to the front, center and back of the hall, respectively.
VIP guests enjoy seating at the concert and will be served a glass of sparkling wine during intermission.
