The morning tour begins with a scenic tour of downtown Rio where you can pass by the infamous Sambadrome, the exhibition space for renowned samba schools in Rio. A brief stop will be made at the Metropolitan Cathedral, made famous for its unusual pyramid shape. Admire its beauty and rarity from the outside and inside!
Your panoramic city tour continues with a visit to the traditional Cinelandia Square where you can visit the various historical buildings such as the Municipal Theatre, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Head to the neighborhood of Urca, where one of Rio's most iconic symbols is found, Mount Sugar Loaf.
Travel up Sugar Loaf Mountain on a cable car, stopping briefly at a viewpoint 215m above sea level. Capture the incomparable panoramic view of the city, Guanabara Bay, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Mount Corcovado. You can then climb to the top of the Sugar Loaf for stunning views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fortress, and the beaches of Niteroi.
You can then enjoy lunch (included in the price) at a seafood restaurant before starting the afternoon tour. After lunch, you will pass through the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas neighborhood (except Sundays) as you head to the Cosme Velho train station. Enjoy a scenic train ride through the Tijuca rainforest up to 38m, at the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue. You'll spend around 45 minutes at the statue, and can capture once-in-a-lifetime shots. After the train ride down, you will be dropped off at the cruise ship dock.
