Head to Mangue Seco for a day of adventure, beach and nature. This remote place is not accessible by car, so you will have to cross a river by canoe to explore the area. Once at the beach, opt for a buggy tour (own expense, optional on the day of the tour) to explore the towering white sand dunes and make photo stops. If you opt for the excursion, you'll return to the beach after 40 minutes to spend the rest of your time relaxing, swimming, and exploring local beach restaurants and bars. You will leave the beach at approximately 15:00 PM to visit the house of Tieta, the character made famous in Jorge Amado's novel. Join an optional site tour, enjoy some ice cream, and then hop in your vehicle for the drop-off at your Salvador hotel.

After meeting your guide at your Salvador hotel, board the vehicle for the 135-mile (220 km) drive to Mangue Seco. Mangue Seco is inaccessible by road, so crossing the Rio Real (which separates the Brazilian states of Sergipe and Bahia) is part of the adventure.
