After your guide picks you up from your hotel by private car, head to the hiking trails of Cantareira State Park, known as Parque Estadual da Cantareira. Part of Brazil's vast and protected Mata Atlantica Biosphere Reserve, which spans 14 states, this stretch of Atlantic coastal forest spans more than 20 acres (000 hectares).
Your guide will select the best trails for your abilities, ranging from easy to medium trails, and point out the natural features of the area along the way. The rich natural environment features scenic views and an abundance of native flora and fauna, including over 260 species endemic to the Atlantic Forest.
