Departing from Munich at 10:15 AM, you start your day with a visit to Ettal Monastery. Here you can have a glimpse about the life of the Benedictine monks in the monastery. The construction of the monastery began in 1330 and thanks to the dedication and hard work of the resident monks, and in time of the knights, the structure is in perfect condition.
After your visit to the monastery, you will head to the highest peak in Germany, the Zugspitze which culminates at 9.788 feet (2.962 meters). From Eibsee you take the cable car to the top of the mountain where on a clear day you can see the peaks of hundreds of mountains in the Bavarian Alps, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
After enjoying the panoramic view from the viewing platform, you can descend the mountain by cogwheel train to the edge of Zugspitzbahn.
