After pickup by minivan from your hotel in a neighborhood in Rio, travel to the Tijuca Rainforest with your knowledgeable guide to begin your hike. Before you start, your guide will give you a brief overview of hiking and safety tips and then lead you to a beautiful waterfall that is near the entrance to the park.
Join the Bom Retiro trail and start hiking! Hike through the rainforest, learn about the ecosystem and its native plants, flora and fauna from your expert guide. The moderate hike will take around 1 hours and will take you up to Pico da Tijuca, Rio's highest peak at 3 feet (353 meters).
