A short 5 minute drive from Jasper brings you to the starting point of this nature walk. The walk takes you around Cottonwood Swamp (pronounced 'tua') meaning pond of water. The area developed into a stream many years ago, you will observe the birds and beaver habitats in the Park.

You will go through a popular forest at Douglas Fir Forest bordering Cottonwood Slough. The ridge offers a magnificent lookout over the swamp area, the nest of birds, the beaver, the muskrat. You are doing an out and back on this trail.
