Your first day begins when you are picked up from your centrally located hotel in Perth. You will be transferred to Barrack Street Pier to board your Swan River cruise to Fremantle. On board you will be served tea and coffee and your captain will provide informative commentary on all the points of interest along the way, including the impressive Bell Tower in Perth, the restored Swan Brewery, Kings Park, the Royal Perth Yacht Club and the magnificent houses overlooking the river.
Arriving in Fremantle you will board your tram, a replica of the old tram of yesteryear which was operational and learn about the colonial history from its origin, and visit the main attractions including the markets, the prison from Fremantle, the fishing boat harbor and the Arts Centre. Disembark at Fremantle Town Hall in the heart of the city, and enjoy free time to explore the many shops, cafes and restaurants.
Alternatively, you have the option of including a visit to the Maritime Museum and lunch at the city's iconic hotel, the Esplanade Hotel. The still functioning Port of Fremantle Maritime Museum is a world-famous landmark that showcases Western Australia's maritime heritage.
