In all weathers, very sunny or not, there is something for everyone and something to do in this Sunshine Town! You can start with a city tour and continue with the different aspects. There is no shortage of artistic leisure and cultural visits, nor is gastronomic leisure. You won't be able to do everything and choosing from a few of these attractions will be more than enough to fill your weekend in Miami:
Jungle Island
Between South Beach and Dowtown, on Watson Island, wild and exotic animals will amaze young and old. This interactive park brings together very popular themed shows and exhibitions. Children will love the birds and parrots. Make the most of your Miami Go Card by visiting Miami's must-see places with the whole family!
The Miami Seaquarium
Although they are in captivity, it is important that the animals are treated well. Killer whales and dolphins are one of the essential detours during a weekend in Miami. For 60 years of this park, we find dolphins, sea lions, turtles, sharks, rays, elephant seals, … for the greatest delight of the spectators. To get there, go to Viginia Key between Miami Downtown and Key Biscayne.
Star Stables Miami
Do you like horses? If you've never done horseback riding, now is the perfect time to start, for an original weekend in Miami! The lessons are aimed at all levels of beginners or advanced riders. Equestrian training, group or individual riding, with a private instructor, this Horse Country center is one of the best in the region.
Trolling
Using its experience, the Shallow Tails company run by Raul Montoro will take you on a fishing trip. To learn all the techniques of light fishing, we sail day and night in the shallow waters of Florida. This experience is even more interesting because participants are limited to 1 or 2 on a single boat.
Olympia Theater
This hall has hosted concerts, films and shows since 1926. It has also hosted prestigious stars, Luciano Pavarotti, BB King and Elvis Presley, etc. Its location, in the center of Gusman, makes it a favorite place to go out, eat and drink.
The Miami Art Museum
The Pérez Art Museum Miami is a must see and worth the detour both inside and out! There are very beautiful exhibitions and collections of modern art, in particular on Julio le Parc. It is near the American Airlines Arena.
Wynwood
Art and culture have given themselves the word to become the emblematic figures of Wynwood. Urban Art and Art Walt are exhibited here in the open air. Intercultural atmospheres and only people of all kinds, in these places! Yes, it promises and you will like it for a short weekend in Miami!
L’Art Walk
This event happens every second Saturday of every month. The Wynwood and Design District neighborhoods become very lively, with art galleries open all night.
If you like contemporary art, you can't miss Art Basel either, which takes place every December in Miami.
American Airlines Arena
We go to the AAA (American Airlines Arena), either for the concerts or for the basketball games! This Biscayne Bay stadium hosted the Miami Heats, the NBA champions crowned in 2006 and 2012.
If you're a sports fanatic, there are plenty of gyms popping up on every street corner: the inhabitants of Miami have a cult of the body under their skin. If you want to remain a spectator, you can watch your favorite teams. The Miami Dolphins in the NFL, the Miami Heat in the MBA, the Miami Marlins in baseball, and the Panthers hockey team all occur in Florida.
Bayside marketplace
It's easy to stay all day here! Everything is grouped together in Downtown, the nerve center of Miami: restaurants, shops, services, etc. Located on the famous artery of Biscayne, this center is ideal for shopping, strolling and resting. Its equivalent: Miami Design District.
Bayside Marketplace can also be the starting point or a stopover during a journey, such as: Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Little Havana. At your leisure, you can add a boat trip or an airboat ride in the Everglades… But that's the problem, there is so much to do, that a weekend in Miami is not enough!
