Enjoy a day trip from Casablanca to Fes visiting the oldest university in the world Al-Qarawiyyin and stopping to see the oldest tannery in Africa. Discover the local medina and its souks to sample street food and meet local artisans.
You will be transferred to your hotel or riad in Casablanca by your guide/driver in an air-conditioned vehicle and driven to the imperial city of Fez.
Upon arrival in Fez, you will begin your tour at Bab Boujloud Gate, the ornate blue gate leading to the medina, and travel to the magnificent Moulay Idriss Mausoleum.
After that, you will be guided to the oldest university in the world called: Al-Qarawiyyin. You can also visit the Madrasa Bouanania built by Sultan Abu Inan Faris, the Madrasa Al-Attarine created by Sultan Uthman II Abu Said, the Nejjarine museum, specializing in wood arts and crafts to discover the traditional tools used by craftsmen Berber carpets and musical instruments, the largest tannery in Africa, Mellah or the Jewish quarter and the old Ibn Danan Synagogue
After your visit inside the old medina, you will be guided outside the walls to go directly to the main gate of the Royal Palace. You can admire the craftsmen at work there and you can enjoy the view of the main square and its palm trees. The tour will end when your guide/driver drops you off at your accommodation in Fez or drives you back to your hotel or riad in Casablanca.
