Your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Berlin starting at 9:30 AM in an air-conditioned minibus. You'll first pass by Charlottenburg Palace and the Olympic Stadium for a photo op in front of the Olympic rings from the 1936 Games. From there, go on a scenic drive through the Grunewald. A stop at Villa Wannsee (Tuesday closed), site of the infamous 1942 Wannsee Conference, is optional. Then continue over the Glienicke Bridge (the “Bridge of Spies”) into Potsdam.
The first stop is the New Garden with Cecilienhof, site of the Potsdam Conference in 1945, an optional visit (surcharge, audio guides, Mondays closed). From there, drive through Alexandrowka, a Russian settlement, to Sanssouci Park. Enjoy a stroll through the beautiful park with a photo opportunity of the palace. Later, pass through the Baroque Old Town and the Dutch Quarter, together more than 400 well-preserved buildings from the 1740s.
Return to Berlin via the autobahn. An extension for a supplement is possible if you want to stay for lunch, or visit another palace. Arrival at your hotel will be around 14:30 p.m.
