On your afternoon tour of Sugar Loaf Mountain, you'll head to downtown Rio for its fine collection of Portuguese colonial-style buildings. You will pass the traditional Cinelândia square and its magnificent public buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. You can then pass the Flamengo Park recreation area en route to the Rio Urca district, at the foot of the characteristic shape of Sugar Loaf Mountain.
You will then take a cable car to Urca Hill, where you can see Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge and Corcovado Hill, topped by the famous Art Deco statue of Christ the Redeemer.
From Urca Hill, you will take a second cabin to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, 395 meters high and offering splendid views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fortress and the beaches of Niteroi.
