Tiny House Giant Journey: an incredible journey and a great project!
A gloomy routine that is easy to give up
Guillaume and Jenna lived the life of a lot of young thirties before giving up everything. Between student loans to repay and too expensive rent to pay, they had to be pragmatic and occupy positions that did not fascinate them, but replenished their bank accounts on a monthly basis.
In this routine, there was very little room left for their dreams: she wanted to write, he wanted to be a photographer. When they heard about the Tiny Houses, those tiny houses on wheels, they made the decision to leave the “metro work dodo” behind, and hit the roads of North America.
A homemade house on wheels
Before leaving, they had to cover up, put a roof over their heads. Although they have no construction experience, they set themselves the challenge of building the home themselves in which they would spend the next few months. After all, it is by doing that we learn. This idealism of course faced the harsh reality of technical issues, but they did. With their hybrid home on wheels, they were good to go! Thus was launched the Tiny House Giant Journey project!
A small house for a big trip
The smallness of the house is matched only by the immensity of the bet they took in abandoning their daily life. It has now been six months since they harnessed the crew behind a 4X4. They have traveled thousands of kilometers and shared with dozens of people.
This unusual project makes them reconnect with their passions: Jenna writes about this alternative lifestyle and the encounters they make along the way. Guillaume, he devotes himself to photography. Their two passions, put together, create a blog on which we can follow their progress, their impressions, and especially their adventures.
