Just 12 minutes by ferry from downtown Sydney, you can see the zoo located on the spectacular shores of Sydney Harbour.
Start your day with a meeting with one of the Zoo's expert guides. Join an Australian animal lesson and learn about the incredible life of the animal mascots of the Sydney 2000 Olympics – the Platypus, Echidna, Kookaburra and the Frilled Lizard in the streets "Creatures of the Wollemi" . You can also encounter other native Australian animals in the 'Australian Walkabout' exhibit. You can take excellent photos of koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, birds, wombats and echidnas; so don't forget your camera!

For your pleasure, board the Air Safari 21, a six-passenger boat. You can soar above the zoo above the rainforest canopy of Asia inhabited by Taronga orangutans and glide through the mysterious river landscape of the Amazon, home to the zoo animals of South America.
The "Backyard to Bush" exhibit is an environmental wonder where visitors can travel through the familiar world of the home and garden with insects and pets, and into the wilderness of the bush, including a gigantic burrow Wombat.
Taronga Zoo expansive Great Southern Oceans exhibit is now open to the public and provides an interesting and exciting introduction to Australia's marine life. The 1.2 hectares of the exhibit allow visitors to discover sea lions, Australian fur seals, New Zealand fur seals, California sea lions, penguins and pelicans who all live in unique environments, mimicking their natural habitat and offering spectacular unobstructed views for visitors.
