You will have special access with a guided tour of the cellar to see the process of making bubbles. Enjoy the stunning views as you taste four sparkling wines and a Yarra Valley antipasto pairing with cheese will be served.
Continue to Yering Station, home of the Yarra Valley's first vineyard. Enjoy lunch at the award-winning Yering Station Winery. If you're not bowled over by the architecture, you'll be blown away by the breathtaking views of the Yarra Valley and the Cordillera from 25ft high windows. After lunch, sample some fantastic wines at Yering Station's Old Historic Winery.
Next is Yering Farm, one of the boutique wineries in the Yarra Valley. Yering Farm has wonderful views and is brimming with rustic charm. Taste wines made using traditional methods and admire ancient copper wine-making tools used by pioneers. You will have the opportunity to meet the winemaker, and if the season is good, to taste wine straight from the barrels.
If there is time in the afternoon before returning to Melbourne, your expert pilot/guide may choose another option. Perhaps a visit to one of the local breweries or the local dairy for a cheese tasting or another winery to sample more of the Yarra Valley's best wine. Some areas are often visited St Hubert, Coldstream Hills, TarraWarra, De Bortoli, Helen Hill and Giant Steps.
