Start by climbing Barcelona's famous Montjuïc hill, which hosted the 1992 Olympics and offers stunning views of the city. After a brief stop at the National Art Museum of Catalonia, continue to Plaça Espanya and pass the modernist buildings of the Eixample district.
On your way to the Sagrada Famlia, you'll cross Passeig de Gracia, home to designer boutiques and two of Antonio Gaudí's most famous buildings, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Avoid the very long lines at the Sagrada Familia. Your guide will give you a full tour of the facade before leading you inside this famous structure, without waiting in line, where you will have free time to explore the monument on your own.
You'll then head to Barcelona's oldest neighborhood, the Gothic Quarter, where you'll get off the bus to enjoy a stroll through the narrow streets of medieval Barcelona. From here, you'll step back in time to the Middle Ages, visiting the Jewish quarter, the Royal Palace, the 2-year-old Roman temple and part of the cathedral.
Continue to the Born district, where you will have free time for a quick lunch before heading to the magnificent Santa Maria del Mar church, one of the most beautiful in Barcelona, where your tour will end at around 13pm.
Do you want to visit Park Güell and La Pedrera?
Opt for a full day in Barcelona, and you can continue to Park Güell. Enjoy a guided tour of the famous city garden, where you will discover Gaudí's most bizarre creations. Finally, you will visit one of Gaudí's most famous buildings, La Pedrera (1 hour). You skip the line again and have one hour to visit the interior of the building.
