Little penguins put on a wonderful show as they surf and waddle across the sand to their home at dusk on Phillip Island. Phillip Island is home to an amazing array of wildlife, including koalas, Australia's largest colony of fur seals and, of course, razorbills.
Travel to the Melbourne suburbs of St Kilda and Brighton Bay, visit Warrook, a cattle farm in the prosperous region of Gippsland. Take the opportunity to pet and feed kangaroos, wallabies and a host of farm animals.
You will encounter koalas in their natural habitat at the Koala Conservation Center. See the dramatic coastline scenery at Nobbies, two rocky outcrops where marine life is abundant. From the gangway, learn about Australia's largest population of fur seals living along the rugged southern coast. Sneak through the Phillip Island Visitors Information Center and visit the seaside town of Cowes – Phillip Island's main town and a retreat and vacation town for anglers and beach lovers.
Choose one of three rides to highlight your Penguin Parade experience:
- Choose the Penguin Plus View Platform climb, for a unique up-close view of penguins and interactive views with commentary provided by a trained eco-ranger. There is an excellent view of penguins from the wooden seats.
- The Private Penguin Parade option is limited to a maximum of 10 people per group, making your viewing of the penguins interactive and the commentary from the personal ranger more intimate and personal. You'll be provided with a warm, waterproof jacket, a mat so you can sit comfortably on an exclusive beach viewing area, and headphones for listening to live commentary and a tour guided tour of the Penguin Parade Visitor Center.
- The Skybox Penguin gives you the opportunity to view the Phillip Island Penguin Parade from an exclusive elevated viewing tour, accompanied by a personal ranger.
