Your day tour of the Cotswolds will begin in Burford, where the magnificent High Street typifies all varieties of Cotswold stone. You will have time to visit the tea town houses before heading north to beautiful Stow-on-the-Wold.
You will then have lunch and there will be no other way to satisfy your hunger than with a fabulous two course lunch in the heart of the Cotswolds! The restaurant boasts a dramatic beamed ceiling and a stone fireplace bearing huge witches' marks, and serves an excellent choice of traditional cuisine, including classic pain au lait and butter for dessert.
The afternoon will be spent exploring Moreton-in-Marsh, a stunning town with an old market, which has a unique rumble and is home to the center of Cotswolds falconry. You can then continue north-west and out into the Cotswolds with charming Stratford-upon-Avon. Here, you'll take a short stroll through the city center, passing Shakespeare's birthplace, before enjoying cream tea at a boutique inn.
