The spectacular Barron Waterfalls further upstream are considered a sacred site. The famous Kuranda Railway and Skyrail Cableway also pass through the Barron Gorge section. The rapids are Level 3.
This heart-pounding tour takes you through the Barron Gorges National Park and the Humid Tropics listed as World Heritage. In the quieter sections, you enjoy the ethereal beauty of the oldest rainforests and waterfalls. During the day, you can also discover why the rapids of the Barron have names such as 'La Queue du Coq', 'Baratte de Fromage' and 'La Porte de l'Enfer'.
You only need to bring lace-up shoes (which WILL get wet), bathing suit and towel (you will need to have your bathing suit ready when you are picked up), a change of clothes and no don't forget the 15+ sunscreen.
