For an authentic insight into life in London, embark on a walking tour of London's private markets on Saturday morning. Along the way, connect with the unique energy of London as you visit three different markets.
Highlights
- Done in English
Start your day at Borough Market: one of the most beautiful markets in Europe and an eye-opening culinary destination for foodies and the curious. As London's premier source for high quality fresh produce, Borough Market is where you'll meet farmers and food producers across the UK and beyond, where you'll savor a host of tastings, and where you'll soak up the relaxed atmosphere in one of London's most charming food shopping destinations.
You will then continue to Broadway Market in Hackney. Broadway Market is an up-and-coming market that is very popular with Londoners. Highlights include clothing and pottery stalls, plus a wide selection of organic food. This includes rare breed pigs, fresh fish, handmade cheese and organic bread, cakes and pastries. Health products are sold alongside vintage clothing from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, including street wear from the United States.
Your walk will end in one of London's best-kept secrets: Camden Passage – an appealing mix of ambitious vintage and antique. Located just north of central London, the area is a style conscious paradise, with over 50 antique and vintage stalls. Against a backdrop of architecture dating from the Victorian and Georgian period, and narrow, cobbled lanes, Camden Passage has charm and an atmosphere that is unique to London!
You will travel between each market stop via the London Underground system. Accordingly, guests will need to purchase a day travel pass (approximately £6,00) before commencing the tour.
