Your first stop is Port Douglas, where you will visit the nature reserve and see many native animals such as kangaroos, tree kangaroos, crocodiles, koalas and rare cassowaries. You'll also see a variety of native Australian birds and maybe even hand-feed a wallaby or kangaroo.
It will then be time to head north and cross the Daintree River by ferry to enter the Cape Tribulation part of the nature reserve. You will enjoy a delicious lunch at the Cape Tribulation Beach House restaurant. Enjoy a free hour on the beach at Cape Tribulation before setting off on the excursion to the Marrdja Botanical Rainforest. Along the way, your guide will share with you the fascinating secrets of the rainforest, the food, the remedies found there, and its history.
Your journey will then take you back to the Daintree and you will embark on a cruise to discover the wild animals, crocodiles, birds and other inhabitants of the mangroves. Before the end of your day, you can admire the amazing landscape of this part of the world, from the Rex Lookout observatory.
