From there, head towards the Mediterranean coast. Pass by the Arc de Triomphe, Ciutadella Park, the Olympic Village, the Olympic Port, Barcelona Beach and the fishing district of La Barceloneta, Port Vell (the old port), Plaza de Colon and from Las Ramblas, up to the mountain of Montjuïc.

In Montjuïc, make a short stop at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, then travel to the funicular station near Montjuïc Castle for a funicular ride with views of Barcelona.

Continue the tour through the Olympic facilities of Montjuïc, to Poble Espanyol. In the afternoon, a comfortable air-conditioned bus takes you to the mountains of Montserrat. These rocks were formed by the natural cement of sand over the centuries, shaped by wind and rain.

Then go to Montserrat with the cogwheel train. The air-conditioned train offers panoramic windows, giving you spectacular mountain views during the 15-minute journey.

Visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, home to the famous 1025th-century Romanesque sculpture, Verge Moreneta (the Black Madonna). The Benedictine Sanctuary of Montserrat was founded in XNUMX and provides a mystical backdrop to the Virgin of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia enshrined in the monastery's royal basilica. Very soon, the small monastery began to receive pilgrims and visitors who helped spread the stories, miracles and wonders performed by the virgin. Today, Montserrat has been modernized to continue to meet the needs of pilgrims, a thousand years after its founding.

You will have some free time to visit the audiovisual exhibition on the history and creation of Montserrat. A tasting of typical Montserrat liqueurs is also included.
