Walk with the brothers on their ancestral lands, while stalking observing wildlife and the surrounding countryside. Learn how to hunt fish, mud crabs and mussels through the mangroves, and try bush food and bush medicine.
In the morning, enjoy homemade tea, coffee and the catch of the day on the balcony of their family home, overlooking the ocean. The brothers will demonstrate to you the various Aboriginal artifacts and their uses, and perhaps you will learn to play the didgeridoo.
You'll continue north to Daintree Village, for a one-hour river cruise to the crocodile habitat on the majestic Daintree River. Have a picnic on the banks of the river before continuing to the spectacular Niau Falls and Tranquility on the Daintree – private property of 450 acres.
The Niau Falls are untouched natural wonders, then you'll take a guided walk through the forest to uncover the secrets of this fascinating eco-system. You will see primitive plants and learn about the original French settler family and their incredible story of survival. It will then be time for a swim in this magical forest environment before the tour comes to an end for your return.
Please note that this tour is interactive and not suitable for people with reduced mobility. You will cross the muddy mangroves, walk along tracks and climb on the wet rocks around a waterfall. A reasonable level of fitness is required to fully enjoy the experience.
