Famous for its theatre, the Temple of Apollo and its ancient ruins, Delphi was at the heart of the classical Greek world, and considered the center of the earth and the universe. Meteora is considered one of the most beautiful places in mainland Greece, and its monasteries are one of the country's most unique attractions.
After driving along a scenic route through Levadia and Arachova (famous for its multicolored luminous carpets), you will arrive in Delphi. You will visit the site's museum of archaeological treasures, and the rest of the day is free in Delphi.
After spending the morning however you wish, you can pass through the central towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala, crossing the plain of Thessaly to spend the night in Kalambaka.
The next day you will take a tour of the cliff top monasteries, built on top of rock towers and offering stunning views over the plain. After your visit to the unique Meteora monasteries, you will return to Athens, passing through Thermopylae and Kamena Vourla.
