The construction of the tallest towers is already a national pride for many countries. The scenario is obviously the same for the majestic bridges. Just recently, it was China that sent a strong signal by inaugurating the longest glass bridge in the world: a masterpiece 300 meters long and 179 meters high.

Ultra-resistant glass plates

This bridge is erected over a gaping void in Shiniuzhai National Geographic Park in Pingjiang County. This achievement mobilized more than ten engineers who pooled their genius to erect this bridge which serves as a footbridge over a rocky chasm. Recently opened to the public, it is the first glass bridge built in Mao's country. It was designed with glass plates 25 times stronger than wood… but that didn't prevent it from cracking a few days after the inauguration.

Seen from the sky, this bridge reflects sunlight and appears like a sparkling stream between two cliffs. It is a beautiful postcard image that does not leave you indifferent. The wild greenery and the rocks all around only add charm to the decor.

It has been nicknamed Haohan Bridge, the “Bridge of Heroes”, in reference to the courage required to cross it.
