Back from my trip to the Balearic Islands where I had the chance to visit Mallorca, the largest of its islands, today I'm talking to you about my hotel in Majorca. During these 5 days spent on the island, I had the chance to stay at the Park Hyatt Mallorca located on the east coast of the island in Canyamel.
Summary:Park Hyatt Majorca: the village
Let's start our visit with the hotel itself or rather the village. We will talk a little later about its location and the things to do and see around the hotel.
Why speak of a village? Quite simply because the Park Hyatt in Mallorca is indeed a village! A village built from scratch, of course, but which marvelously respects the local style. I found this village concept very original and extremely well done.
Indeed, when you walk around the hotel, you really have the feeling of being in a village with many buildings, squares or even several restaurants.
Let's start the visit of the village. Once inside the hotel, calm is felt instantly.
The village's paths meander between the buildings, cross small squares and cross tiny streams that will follow you throughout the visit of the village.
The largest of these places offers a breathtaking view of the valley. Panorama which you can enjoy from your room which will allow you to watch a magnificent sunset.
Let's stay on this “main” square to discover the hotel's outdoor bar. It welcomes you every evening on its terrace and offers you a wide choice of cocktails!
Not far from there, there is the first Asian restaurant: Asia.
It is in this restaurant that we will spend our first evening to enjoy the flavors of Asia. Don't worry, we will soon be eating much more local meals.
This Asian restaurant offers many Asian dishes such as the essential Pad Thai accompanied by Asian drinks.
Let's continue our tour of the restaurants by heading to the "Tapas", a much more local restaurant since it offers a very wide choice of Tapas, a Spanish specialty, with many cheeses or even local charcuterie. This restaurant is open until midnight, which is, in Majorca, a significant advantage since it will allow you to enjoy your evening wherever you want and then come and have dinner at the hotel.
Last restaurant located within the Park Hyatt Mallorca, the Balearic. The restaurant offers cuisine prepared exclusively with fresh, local produce. You will be offered typical Spanish and Majorcan dishes.
During the day you can go to the hotel's café, Café Sa Plaça. The café is open from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m. and offers many snacks for lunch, or simply to enjoy an afternoon tea.
Now let's move on to breakfast. Quite simply impressive choice, the proposed buffet will, without a doubt, satisfy you. You will find lots of fresh and cut fruit, cereals of all kinds, local charcuterie, countless jams and pastries.
In addition to the buffet, you will be served a dish, to choose from a list of breakfasts from around the world. For my part, I couldn't resist the delicious eggs Benedict!
The breakfast room has a magnificent and large terrace to enjoy the mild Majorcan climate.
Let's continue our visit of the village. In the aisles of it you will find a gym and a swimming pool next to which there is a solarium and a cocktail bar.
Le Park Hyatt Mallorca also has a SPA where you can receive a large number of treatments and massages.
Note that the Park Hyatt Mallorca is located just opposite the Cap Vermell Country Club. A club with many sports facilities such as tennis courts, padel, sports halls or a 25-meter swimming pool. The club also includes a “healthy” restaurant.
Now let's go to the bedroom. It is spacious and equipped with everything one would expect from a luxury hotel. A few tapas accompanied by a bottle of beer await us on our arrival.
The room marvelously combines luxury and modernity with, for example, an astonishing television set in the bathroom mirror, or an iPad left at your disposal.
Our room has a small terrace that will allow us to enjoy a breathtaking view of the setting sun.

Location and surroundings
I briefly told you about it earlier, the Park Hyatt Majorca is located on the east coast of Majorca in Canyamel, a small seaside resort where you can enjoy a wide beach as well as various restaurants.
You can also, via a small step, climb and reach the Cap Vermell tower, located a few hundred meters from the village. You will be able to enjoy a magnificent view (sunrise for early risers!).
With activities and things to do and see in Mallorca being spread across the whole island, the hotel's location away from Palma is by no means inconvenient. In addition, it's a safe bet that you will arrive in Mallorca via Palma airport. You can therefore visit Palma on the day of your arrival and/or the day of your departure.
Many things to see are located on this east coast of Majorca. First of all, the town of Artà, located a few minutes by car from the hotel, must be visited. The city has a crazy charm, its center, but also its old sanctuary of Sant Salvador are essential in the city.
About 20 kilometers from the hotel is the town of Manacor. We went twice to this city, the first time to make our hot air balloon flight, an unforgettable moment; the second time to visit the Rafa Nadal Museum Xperience, the tennis academy of Rafael Nadal, a native of this same city.
A little further north, there are three must-see places for a visit to Majorca: the town of Alcudia, Pollença, and the Formentor peninsula. Highly recommend a day in the area. About fifty kilometers separate the hotel from the north-eastern tip of Majorca.
A little further south of the hotel, along the coast, are the prettiest coves, the calas, in Majorca. Magnificent white sand beaches bordered by turquoise water which made the reputation of the island.
On this same coast are some pretty villages such as Porto Cristo or Portocolon.
There is no shortage of activities around the Park Hyatt Majorca, but note that if you want to reach Palma, you will only need an hour by car.
My review of the Park Hyatt Mallorca
The Park Hyatt in Majorca is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. This hotel, or rather this village, perfectly meets all the criteria one could seek for a quiet holiday in a splendid setting.
The proximity to many places of interest is really a plus.
