After having told you about Seville on many occasions, in particular during my article dedicated to the visit of Seville, the one dedicated to the cathedral, the Alcazar or even the accommodation in Seville, today I talk about the Seville City Pass.
In this article you will see the advantages of having a City Pass when visiting a city, what types of City Pass exist in Seville, what they allow you to visit and what is their price.
As a reminder, a city pass is a card that combines different activities, such as entrance fees, skip-the-line tickets, guided tours, cruises and sometimes even access to city transportation. We will see that in the case of Seville, you have at your disposal several possibilities regarding a City Pass.

The different City Passes of the city of Seville
To begin this article, we will review the different City Passes that can be purchased to visit Seville:
- Seville City Pass: The most complete solution.
It is a City Pass created by the Tiqets platform that allows you to combine the two most important visits of the city, such as the cathedral and the Alcazar, plus access to the tourist bus and discounts on a large number of activities. This being the most complete solution, we will detail it later in this article. - Super Sevilla Combi: The alternative
The second solution is the "Super Sevilla Combi". Also created by Tiqets, this City Pass allows you to combine a visit to the Alcazar and the cathedral with an audio guide.
This City Pass is very similar to the previous one but does not offer the possibility to take the city's tourist bus. - Seville Travel Card : Unfortunately not available atthe moment.
The Sevilla Travel Card is a transport card that includes unlimited access for 3 days to Seville's public transport network such as bus and streetcar. Please note that this card does not include access to and from the airport. - Sevilla Card : Unfortunately not available
Unfortunately, the last option is not really one, as the Sevilla Card, the official city pass of Seville, is no longer on sale. This card offered the possibility to group numerous visits and discounts. During the unavailability of the Sevilla Card, I recommend that you resort to the first City Pass mentioned in this article.
Seville City Pass
In this part we will detail the first of the offers presented above which is, in my opinion, the best solution to visit the city of Seville.

- Where to get the Seville City Pass?
- What activities are included in this City Pass?

Seville City Pass presentation
Let's review the benefits of the City Pass and find out if it is a good option to visit Seville.
- Tickets without queues:
The first advantage of this City Pass is, like many city passes, to group several activities into just one. The two main activities here are visiting the Seville Cathedral and visiting the Alcazar, the two main monuments to visit in Seville. This City Pass allows you to access these two places with one ticket without queuing. Thus, you will make an "appointment" for a specific day and time and you can enter without waiting at the entrance, which is especially appreciated if you visit Seville during school vacations, when queues can be very long. - An audio guide:
The City Pass also includes the possibility to download an audio guide that will allow you to learn more about the cathedral, the Alcazar but also about the city of Seville in general. An audio guide that works without wifi or mobile data after installing it. - Tourist bus:
With this City Pass you will also have access, for a whole day, to a tourist bus. Present in many cities, these buses travel around the city following a circular route and stopping at various points of interest in the city. Particularly convenient for driving around the city. - Discounts on the list of visits:
Many discounts are also provided on this City Pass. 20% discount on various activities detailed below, including a cruise on the Guadalquivir or a Flamenco show, a must in Seville.
How long is the Seville City Pass valid for?
There is not really a validity period. In fact, when you buy your City Pass online, you will have to plan your visits to the cathedral and the Alcazar, and indicate the day you want to use your City Pass for the tourist bus.
This planning for the Alcazar and the Cathedral is necessary as this City Pass includes skip-the-line tickets.
The discounts, on the other hand, do not have a limited duration. They are valid only once per City Pass.
How much does the Seville City Pass cost?
The prices of the Seville City Pass are:
- 53€ for an adult;
- 38€ for young people under 14 years old;
- 33€ for seniors over 65 and students between 17 and 25 years old;
- 23€ for young people under 13 years old;
- 12€ for children from 5 to 12 years old;
- 1€ for children under 5 years old.
Where to get the Seville City Pass?
The City Pass must be booked online. This is 100% mobile, no need to print anything. Once you have made your purchase, you will receive by email the booking confirmations of the days and times of visit for the cathedral and the Alcazar. Another email will allow you to get the list of possible reductions.
What activities are included in this City Pass?
Visit to the Cathedral of Seville
The first of the two visits included in this City Pass is the Seville Cathedral. First reminder, you will have access to a skip-the-line ticket that will allow you to get there without having to wait long minutes in front of the entrance.
The Cathedral of Seville is one of the most emblematic places of the city. It is impressive for its size, one of the largest cathedrals in Europe, but also for its history. Like many cathedrals in Andalusia, Seville's is no exception to the rule and was once a mosque. This past is still present, especially in the cathedral's bell tower, which still preserves many testimonies of this era when it was a minaret. The interior of the cathedral also surprises with the presence of a real "treasure": the tomb of the explorer Christopher Columbus. While visiting the cathedral, you will also learn more about the incredible history of this tomb thanks to the audio guide provided for the visit.
Visit to the Alcazar of Seville
The second activity is the visit to the Alcazar. This is the other essential activity in Seville, visiting this sumptuous palace, which has undergone multiple modifications over the centuries, is an extraordinary mixture of styles. The vast majority of places can be visited although a part remains closed to the public because it is still used by the King of Spain when he comes to Seville. The palace gardens are also surprising for their size and beauty. Here too, an audio guide seems essential to understand the centuries of history surrounding this marvel.
Other reductions included in the City Pass
You can benefit from a 10% discount on various activities and visits in the city. Here are the main ones:
- Cordoba Discovery Day
- Day in Ronda from Seville
- Trip to Jerez and Cadiz
- Different flamenco shows
- Cruise on the Guadalquivir river
- Seville by night tour
- Different tapas tour
- Sevilla FC match
Bus with free stops
The City Pass also includes one-day access to the city's tourist bus. This bus runs all day long following a "tourist" route of 12 stops. This allows you to move around the city and to go to certain places a bit far away like "Expo 92" or "Isla Magica". A practical and ideal means of transport to visit Seville. The bus is equipped with wifi and audio guide.
Is the Sevilla City Pass really cost effective?
Now let's move on to the real question about this city pass: is it profitable? To answer this question we will take into account the 3 main activities available in this pass, which are: the two audioguided tours as well as the day on the tourist bus. You can see the price details in the images below.
- Skip the line ticket to the Alcazar + audioguide: 20,25 €.
- Seville Cathedral skip the line ticket + audioguide: 18 €.
- One day tourist bus ticket: 22 €.
A total of € 60,25. As a reminder, the city pass costs 53 €.
Add to that the possibility to get a 10% discount on certain activities and this gives us a very interesting City Pass that offers you at least 7€ discount.
If the two visits included in the City Pass and the bus are the activities you have chosen to do, don't hesitate!
Limits of the Sevilla City Pass
I would like to point out that this city City Pass still has its limits. Where some City Passes I find really interesting, the Seville City Pass has some drawbacks.
As I told you before, if the proposed activities suit you, go ahead! You will save money.
Here are some situations in which this pass will not be interesting:
- You want to opt for guided tours of the cathedral or the Alcazar, with a guide in your language and no audio guide.
- You want a pass that includes trips between Seville airport and the city center. As well as public transportation in the city.
- You are not interested in the tourist bus.
If you find yourself in one of these cases, then I advise you to go to the next paragraph offering you alternatives to this city pass.
Alternatives to the Seville city pass
This pass may not be right for you and may not include the tours you would like to do in Seville or may include activities you were not planning to do. The alternatives will therefore be to book the tours separately or to group some of them together.
- Downtown Airport Transfer: Not included in the city-pass, private transfer from Seville airport to downtown. The trip costs 29€ for 3 people (just under 10€ each).
- Guided tour in French of the cathedral of Seville: You can opt for a guided tour in French of the cathedral for the price of 30€.
- Guided tour in French of the Alcazar of Seville: You can also choose a guided tour of the Alcazar in French for the price of 35€.
- Skip-the-line entrance to the Cathedral of Seville: At the price of 15€ with the possibility to take an audio guide for an additional 3,75€ at the entrance of the building.
- Queue-free entrance to the Alcázar of Seville: At the price of 18,50€ with the possibility to opt for an audio guide for 3€ more at the entrance.
- Combined guided tour in French of the cathedral + Alcazar: Opt for a complete combination of two guided tours in French of the cathedral and the Alcazar for the price of 54€.
- Tourist bus: One day tourist bus for 22 €, 2 days for 31 €. For more details, go to our section dedicated to the multi-stop bus.
- Entrance to the Aquarium of Seville: The Aquarium of Seville is an activity that I recommend. I already told you about it some time ago in the blog. The entrance fee is 17 € per adult and 12 € per child.
- Cruise on the Guadalquivir: The cruise on the Guadalquivir is also a popular activity in Seville. It is possible to find one from 15 €.

My opinion on the Seville City Pass
The Seville City Pass can be a good buy and can save you a few euros. Of course, you will have to go within the framework of what this City Pass offers and want to visit the two main monuments of the city through an audio guide, as well as opting for a day on a multi-stop bus, which is not a bad choice. The audio guide will allow you to discover the cathedral and the Alcazar with explanations without paying the full price of a guided tour. The tourist bus, on the other hand, will allow you to discover some places of the city located a little further away from the city center, ideal if you do not like to walk too much or if you are traveling with children. In case you want to visit the Alcazar and/or the Cathedral of Seville through a guided tour, or you are not interested in the tourist bus, then opt for a different offer with independent or group tickets but outside the part of a city pass.
