Enjoy a private full day tour from Cape Town on the west coast in a private vehicle, in a circular route starting from Cape Town on the R27 line and returning on the R45 filled with lots of landscapes, activities and discovery . You'll be picked up from your hotel/guesthouse and driven along the R27 on this private tour in Cape Town on the West Coast. You will pass through Bloubergstrand (translation: the Blue Mountains) and Big Bay. From here you will have one of the best views and photo opportunities of the majestic Table Mountain and a clear view of Robben Island.
Exit the R27 towards the R307, we will head towards Darling, passing through the towns of Atlantis and Mamré. At Darling you can taste some wine and olives. From there, you will continue on the R315 and take the R27 for a stop at Khwa ttu. There you can meet the local people of San which is the oldest of the cultural groups in Africa.
Back on the R315 line, only during whale season, you will drive towards the fishing village of Yzerfontein, where you may have the chance to admire some whales. From there you will travel to the west coast of the national park. It is said to be where Eve's footprint was discovered, one of the earliest discoveries of existence. You can also admire the animals and a large community of birds in this park. Flowers bloom beautifully (daisies create carpets of flowers) in spring (August and September).
A short drive after leaving the national park, you will come to the town of Langebaan. It is one of the oldest towns in South Africa and is also known as the jewel of Cape Town on the west coast. It is a popular holiday destination for South Africans.
After lunch (own expense), you will make the return journey via the R45 line. Along this route you will stop at the West Coast Fossil Park for a glimpse of the greatest diversity of 5 million year old fossils. Pass the Langebaanweg Airforce base (flying school), the town of Hopefield (optional stop at Simply Bees Wax for Honey) and the wheat fields and canola region of Moorreesburg and passing through Malmesbury. Visitors have the opportunity to see the Wheat Museum in Moorreesburg, wine tasting in Malmesbury or check out the ostriches at the Ostrich Farm in Philadelphia before arriving in Cape Town.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel/guesthouse in Cape Town.
