Practical guide for successful vacations
It would be a shame to go on vacation with your mind cluttered with obscure thoughts. The European Commission has just published a ranking of the 10 things to do to travel in peace. A useful little guide during this summer period and which should allow all travelers to avoid any unpleasant unforeseen events or to get out of a situation that is a priori badly embarked!
1- Hello emergencies?
In an emergency, we often panic - especially on vacation… Who should we call? How to do it ? In the event of an accident, travelers are simply invited to dial the 112 number which covers the entire territory of the European Union and gives access to all emergency services. This number is obviously free from any landline or mobile phone, even when the subscriber's package is exhausted.
2- A drink is fine ...
It is obviously not only in France that the blood alcohol level is limited. And even if the rate tolerated while driving may vary from one country to another, the recommendation adopted by the European Commission in January 2001 recommends a limit of 0,5 mg / ml of alcohol in the blood - i.e. the legal threshold. in France - for all drivers and 0,2 mg / ml for novice drivers and for professional drivers.

3- Airlines: beware of the blacklist
Following the various air disasters that have occurred in recent years, the European Union has established a blacklist of airlines. For anyone traveling outside of Europe this summer, it is therefore advisable to consult this list before purchasing their plane ticket.

4- Airports and security
For air travel, the European Commission also recommends that you take only a small amount of liquid substances in your hand luggage. Here too, limits are imposed: no more than 100 milliliters per container, with a total of 1 liter per passenger.
5- If the flight is canceled
In the event of a flight cancellation, all is not lost. Passengers whose flight is canceled without notice or who are denied access to the aircraft may request a refund or travel on an alternative route. Compensation is also possible, depending on the length of the flight as well as assistance.
